My night at the Audiosocket/Vimeo party

One of my favourite music licensor's Audiosocket out of Seattle (who have helped me place my music in film, TV and commercials) just announced a new partnership with video content providor Vimeo.  I was invited to the press event at the Ace Hotel in New York City and had a great time meeting fellow NY artists (including one of my favourites Rachel Sage of MPress Records) and industry folks.

Here's an article that explains the partnership...and here's hoping for more revenue opportunities for independent musicians thanks to forward-thinking techies!

My first step into theatre scoring...

I'm really excited to have the opportuity to create incidental score music for a New York Fringe Fest play called "Browsing"  which will make its world premiere on August 14th at the TEATRO SEA (107 Suffolk St # 312, New York NY).

A Glassbeads Theatre Ensemble production with Obie-winner Mari Gorman at the helm, this experience is my first step into music for the theatre (and instrumental music at that!).  It's something that I've always wanted to do and I hope it leads to more adventures ...

"Did You Go Too Far" placed on CW's Hellcats

Do you like vampy cheerleaders?  I do and that's why I was tickled to find out that CW's "Hellcats" used my song "Did You Go Too Far?" in a scene from episode 19 (original airdate April 26, 2011).  If you'd like to hear the song I have a couple of versions in my web music player here.
